Sincia Warrior

A kid in a cardboard lion-dance headdress raps a Lunar New Year blessing to grandma, and the real gift arrives through a banking app instead of an envelope.

The Film

A short, rap-delivered Lunar New Year message built around self-made "Sincia Warriors", family members dressed in playful, homemade lion-dance costumes and headbands, who address Engkong, Emak, Papi, and Mami directly with rhyming CNY 2022 blessings: prosperity, good health, a thriving family business. The rap resolves on the actual ask: skip the paper envelope and share angpao digitally through the BCA mobile app, closing on a Gong Xi Fa Cai wish for 2022.

The Craft

Shot warm and handheld inside a real family home and a traditional shop, leaning on practical, DIY-looking costumes, feather boas, cardboard lion heads, red headbands, rather than professional barongsai gear, so the "warrior" conceit reads as home-made family theater, not a stage performance. The rap's rhythm carries the whole message, with quick cuts between family members reacting and the young performers hamming it up for the camera, before landing on a clean product beat showing the BCA app screen.

The Cast

Led by young family members performing as the self-styled "Sincia Warriors" (SCW headbands), addressing an older generation, grandparents and parents, played by an older Chinese-Indonesian couple shown running a traditional shop. No named talent verified; the cast reads as an everyday family rather than actors or celebrities.
