Qtela / Commercial / 2020
Tawar Menawar
A market haggle over price turns into the whole pitch for feeling properly Indonesian.
The Stills
The Film
A comic slice-of-life scene set in a street market, a buyer bargains hard with a vendor who keeps persuading her back, before the film lands on Qtela's long-running Qrasa Indonesianya tagline. It is a lighter, more comedic entry point into a platform the brand has returned to across multiple later executions.
The Craft
Shot with an everyday-market naturalism rather than a polished studio look, the comic timing rides on the back-and-forth haggling dialogue between buyer and vendor, in the register of everyday Indonesian street comedy rather than a jingle-led format.
The Cast
An ordinary market buyer and vendor carry the scene as an unnamed comic pair, cast for relatable everyday chemistry rather than star power. No performer is individually credited.
