Situ Lebay
In a village called Situ Lebay, a soap shortage plays like a home-invasion horror and a stockout turns the street into a mob, until a shopkeeper finds the one app calm enough to stop the panic.
The Stills
The Film
The film invents Situ Lebay, a village whose defining trait is chronic overreaction, then proves it with two genre sketches: a girl spun into hysterics on a porch swing when the electricity token runs out, staged like a possession horror, and a green-lit street mob that storms a warung the moment a hand-lettered BARANG HABIS sign goes up, staged like a riot. The panic breaks the instant the story pivots to a warung owner solving the same problems, restocking, phone credit, bill payments, cash on delivery, through the Mitra Tokopedia app, and the village exhales.
The Craft
Filmbunny plays it as a two-act joke on color and camera. The cold open is graded teal and desaturated, shot with off-kilter handheld framing and a spinning POV to sell horror-movie panic, cutting into a chaotic rush down a narrow alley that reads like low-budget disaster cinema, buckets, brooms, and all. The moment the app enters the story, the palette resets to warm daylight and the camera settles into steady, direct-to-camera testimonial shots, letting bold on-screen typography carry each feature beat, isi saldo, bayar COD, bayar tempo, tukar poin, like punchlines rather than a product list.
The Cast
No credited names appear onscreen, so the film runs on an ensemble of unbilled local talent playing archetypes rather than characters: a hysterical daughter for the horror cold open, a bristling crowd for the mob sequence, and a warm, camera-ready warung owner in a mint hijab who carries the second half as the app's relatable face, backed by a green-vested Mitra Tokopedia partner walking through the feature set.
