The Film
A fraud-awareness campaign built around a single piece of wordplay. Indonesian has endless names for the art of deception, yet no name for the art of refusal. So BCA invents one and hands out a trophy for it. Across nine cuts, a gallery of ordinary people, a married couple, a YouTuber, a grandmother, flatly turn away scammers fishing for PINs, OTPs, CVVs and ATM card numbers, each getting celebrated as pioneers of refusing elegantly.
The Craft
The flagship film is a comic anthology strung together by a warm, folk-tinged score and an awards-show framing device that lets a host walk us from vignette to vignette, each scam staged as a self-contained sketch with bright, theatrical sets and deadpan performances before the piece pivots to a ceremony that literally applauds the refusers. The eight shorter cutdowns isolate one data type at a time, PIN, OTP, CVV, ATM card number, KeyBCA codes, repeating the same refusal beats at fifteen and six seconds so the single rule travels intact at any length.
The Cast
Anchored by singer Anggun C. Sasmi, whose name is the whole idea: it means graceful, so Tolak dengan Anggun reads at once as refuse with grace and refuse with Anggun. Around her sits an ensemble of everyday archetypes, a married couple, a YouTuber, a grandmother who recurs across several cutdowns outwitting a scammer posing as her ninth grandchild, each playing a would-be victim who instead shuts the scammer down.
