The Film
Told through a mosaic of vignettes, a couple exchanges Lebaran greetings over video call, a family gathers on a tablet screen, friends laugh through a group chat window. Each moment is framed as a small proof that unlimited data can carry the warmth of an in-person Ramadan tradition. The film leans into 2020's stay-at-home reality, reframing distance as no obstacle to connection.
The Craft
Built as a fast-cutting composite of UI-driven vignettes, each scene is staged like a phone or tablet screen recording, video calls, chat threads, and app prompts layered directly into the frame. Lighting is warm and domestic throughout, matching the home-bound setting, with a recurring visual motif of the phone or tablet as the connective object between separated family and friends.
The Cast
An ensemble cast spanning multiple generations, a young couple, a group of friends, and an elderly pair, cut across several parallel storylines rather than following one central character.
